Written by Stephen Sullivan

The quality of your content directly impacts your channel's growth and your earning potential on Perspire.tv. This guide covers our content standards and best practices to help you create videos and live sessions that your audience will love.

Video Quality Standards

To ensure a positive experience for users we recommend the following minimum standards for uploaded videos:

Resolution

  • Minimum: 720p (HD)

  • Recommended: 1080p (Full HD) or higher

Lighting

  • Film in a well lit space with even lighting

  • Avoid filming with a bright light source directly behind you as this creates silhouetting

  • Natural light or a ring light are both great options

Audio

  • Clear audio is essential. Users need to be able to hear your instructions clearly throughout the workout

  • Use an external microphone if possible for the best audio quality

  • Avoid filming in noisy environments or spaces with strong echo

Background and Space

  • Choose a clean uncluttered background that reflects your fitness brand

  • Make sure you have enough space to demonstrate exercises fully without going out of frame

  • A neutral or branded backdrop works well

File Formats

  • Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, AVI

  • Maximum file size: 10 GB

Content Standards

All content uploaded to Perspire.tv must meet the following standards:

Safe and Appropriate

  • All exercises demonstrated must be safe and appropriate for the stated fitness level

  • Include modifications where possible for beginners or those with limitations

  • Always recommend users consult a healthcare professional before starting a new fitness program

  • Video titles and descriptions must accurately represent the content

  • Do not use misleading titles or thumbnails to attract clicks

  • Select categories and difficulty levels that accurately match your content

  • Nudity or sexually suggestive content

  • Hate speech or discriminatory content

  • Violence or dangerous activities

Best Practices for Better Performance

Upload Full Length Follow Along Workouts
Videos that are 20 to 60 minutes long tend to perform best on the platform. Users come to Perspire.tv for complete workout experiences they can follow along to from start to finish. Short clips of 1 to 5 minutes are better suited as free preview content rather than paid workouts.

Use Strong Thumbnails
Your cover image is the first thing users see when browsing. Use a high quality, eye catching image that clearly represents the workout. Avoid blurry or dark images.

Write Detailed Titles and Descriptions
Clear and descriptive titles and descriptions help users find your content and understand what to expect. Include relevant keywords that users might search for such as the workout type, body focus area, duration, and equipment needed.

Tag Accurate Categories
Select up to three categories that best describe your video. Accurate categories help your content appear in the right searches and recommendations on the platform.

Set Appropriate Pricing
Price your content based on its length and value. A 5 minute video should be priced differently than a 60 minute full body workout. Browse other trainers' channels to get a sense of what similar content is priced at on the platform.

Post Consistently
Uploading regularly keeps your channel active and helps build a loyal following. Users are more likely to subscribe to channels that post new content consistently.
